Pickin’ in the Blue Ridge
Thurs Evening, Feb 26 –  Sun, March 1 Mid-day
Three days with special room and meals rates plus requested donation of $10 to Graves Mountain Charitable Fund for youth Bluegrass support – helping to fund the Youth Bluegrass and Workshosps at the Graves Mountain Community Heritage Music Festival  May 28 to May 31.

Spring
April  17-18  with special room and meals rates.
A special $85 room rate is available, but most jammers will be in the Campground.

Early Summer
During the Graves Mountain Community Music Festival, May 28 – 31.

Mid Summer
August 14-16

Halloween
October 30 – Nov 1

These are not “Festivals”
– Rather they are a community of  Bluegrass pickers

Vince May, the volunteer jams organizer says, “Please keep in mind that these are not music festivals with paid performers, rather these are informal community “jams” with both dedicated and learning Bluegrass pickers coming together for weekends of music, fun and a beverage or three.”

Pickers are free-form in the Campground. As always.

The camp ground sits in the lee of the mountains of the Blue Ridge, 11 miles west of Madison, VA, surrounded by 1800 acres of farm with animals, horses, meadow, forest and home style southern cooking at the Lodge.

Friday- Saturday Nights

The jam weekends get tuned up for picking on the Friday night and continue through Saturday night with a leisurely pack up of RV and car on Sunday.

Bring an Instrument and Join In

Please bring your instrument and sit in, bring a camp chair and listen, cruise from RV to RV, listening.

Not Just Picking

With 1800 acres, there is lots to do on the farm, streams, and mountains – not just picking all the time. Please pass this along to others you know and we look forward to seeing you for the weekend.
